Many national movements are fragmented and uncoordinated, with infighting, siloed organisations, and limited shared strategic vision. Leaders from many countries are under-represented at international events due to language barriers, cost, visas, and low contextual fit.
AGORA supports local activists to run leadership retreats (10-20 key actors) and, subsequently, national conferences with 150+ attendees.
Events will be conducted in the participants’ own language and context, focused on their specific challenges. Structured follow-up will convert trust into practical collaborations. AGORA aims not to replace global events such as AVA, IARC and CARE, but adding the missing local layer.
