This year we held our inaugural K4G Summit, a high-impact three-day gathering which saw more than 70 funders, K4G alumni, non-profit founders, and special guests join us in Berlin for crucial discussions, workshops and networking opportunities to define the future of the food-transition movement.
The Summit began on Friday 14 November with our 2025 K4G Pitch Day, where our final cohort of 18 initiatives were able to pitch to our jury of funders and experts for a share of $200,000 in seed-funding – of which more than half was awarded as prize money on the day.
On Saturday, a selection of high-profile leaders and special guests ran workshops on ecology-building, leadership and how to better leverage social media for the movement. A number of K4G Alumni from our 2023 and 2024 cohorts also returned to present updates from their organisations, many of which have now developed into high-impact initiatives making a real difference in the movement.
The K4G Summit ended on Sunday with a full-day hackathon, Code 4 Compassion, run by two of our K4G Alumni, Electric Sheep and Open Paws where several teams competed to produce a fully working AI-powered solution to real-world problems, to win a share of $3,000 seed-funding to further develop their idea.
The K4G Summit was so well received that we have big plans to expand the format for 2026. Sign up to our mailing list to be notified of when we release more details.
