Who Let The Docs Out is a filmmaker alliance designed to make systems of consumption documentaries more fundable, more distributable, and more resource effective.
The collective have a strong community network of impact-filmmakers, to foster collaboration and prevent duplication of projects. Through mentorship matching, emerging filmmakers gain support from peers with lived experience; while curated resources (from grants and festival lists to best-practice guides) give every project a stronger foundation.
Who Let The Docs Out help to develop and package projects so they are funding-ready and attractive to mainstream incubators and labs. By re-granting funds to sharpen visibility and strategy, they help to position films to secure larger backing from major players like Chicken & Egg or Impact Partners. The result is more documentaries reaching mainstream audiences, stronger funder confidence, and less wasted money on projects that don’t create impact.
