Hosted as a follow-on from the VARC Conference, join Kickstarting For Good on Monday March 23 in Manchester, UK, for an intensive, high-energy Ideation Bootcamp.
Working in small focused teams, you will fast-track your ideation process as we guide you from identifying a problem to designing a Minimal Viable Product (MVP) in a single day.
Hosted by Kickstarting For Good, an incubator and accelerator for organisations looking to bring about dietary change and transform the food system, this bootcamp offers an exclusive, collaborative environment to test your entrepreneurial thinking and creativity alongside like-minded peers.
We ask you to pick up to three idea areas that you would like to work on for the day from the categories below. Teams will be created from people who pick the same or similar ideas.

08:30am – 3:30pm
The Senate Suite, Mercure Manchester Piccadilly Hotel, Portland Street, Manchester, UK, M1 4PH

Tap into or develop new, counterfactual funding sources and revenue streams to increase support for farmed animal and food system organisations.
Develop strategies to influence major corporations – using positive engagement, pressure tactics, or both – to support alternative products and reduce animal-based production.
Replace or reduce the consumption or farming/fishing of fish and other aquatic animals, including invertebrates (e.g., shrimp, crab, octopi).
Creating new initiatives that build legal capacity for the movement and focus on legal campaigns or litigation.
Leverage key decision makers and thought leaders – including corporate leaders, policymakers, and those with strategic audiences – to advance plant-based diets and farmed animal advocacy.
Address animal product food/beverage waste throughout the supply chain, from corporations to consumers, prioritizing interventions that impact the most animals.
Create and implement effective outreach strategies for growing conservative populations, including politicians, thought leaders, and voters.
Develop strategies and new programmes that enable us to use social media as a tool for positive dietary and behavioral change.
Develop practical applications of AI and machine learning to enhance advocacy efforts and transform the global food system, both directly and by empowering advocates.
Advance policy initiatives to transform the food system, from shifting consumption patterns to creating a more favorable environment for alternative proteins.
Or suggest your own idea area that you believe needs urgent attention.
