Responsibilities
Research, Development, and Strategic Partnerships
Lead the design, implementation, and continuous enhancement of a comprehensive vegan research topic database.
Oversee the progress and quality of research projects, ensuring they align with our mission and standards.
Develop and implement online campaigns to promote our research database, engage our audience, and expand our reach through various digital channels.
Lead the development and execution of online communication, including newsletter, social media, and content marketing to drive engagement and growth.
Craft and implement a long-term strategic plan focusing on online presence, site design, and implementation to expand our reach, and impact.
Growth, Fundraising, and Advocacy
Serve as a spokesperson for Vegan Thesis: Advocate for vegan research and education in media, at conferences, and other public forums to raise awareness and support for our work.
Support fundraising initiatives: This includes grant writing, donor relations, and crowdfunding campaigns. Develop and implement online fundraising campaigns, leveraging social media and email marketing to reach potential donors.
Engage with stakeholders: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, partners, and community members. Provide regular updates on project progress and impact.
Leadership, Oversight, and Communication
Provide guidance, inspiration, and direction to our diverse and remote team.
Foster a collaborative, innovative, and results-driven work environment.
Manage and allocate the organisation’s budget effectively, ensuring maximum impact and sustainability.
Regularly report progress, challenges, and insights to the board and stakeholders.
Ensure clear and open communication channels within the team and with external partners.
Website Development and Optimisation
Coordinate with web developers: Ensure the website is user-friendly, up-to-date, and aligned with our strategic goals. Implement new features and improvements based on user feedback and industry best practices.
Optimize for SEO and performance: Ensure the website is optimized for search engines and performs well across all devices. Regularly update content and perform technical SEO audits to maintain high search rankings.
Track and analyze website metrics: Use analytics tools to monitor website traffic, user behavior, and other key performance indicators. Use data insights to inform decisions and improve the user experience.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of and passion for academic research in plant-based food system transitions, animal ethics, and sustainability.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a remote setting and manage a diverse team.
- Experience in fundraising, grant writing, or financial management is highly desirable.
- Experience with website design, development, and maintenance (preferred)
- Experience in creating and managing online products and digital content (preferred)
